About Us

Our Vision:

All youth have access to meaningful, supportive individuals, programs and systems which empower them to overcome obstacles and to successfully reach their full potential within a safe and secure community.

Our Mission:

Youth Resources Niagara provides rehabilitative and supportive programs, mentors, systems and safe protective environments that facilitate personal growth, change, accountability, and responsibility for youth with their families and communities.

Our Core Values:

  • All youth have the potential for growth and change.
  • Programs should reflect that adolescents can have unique developmental needs, and it is both necessary and beneficial to hold youth accountable for their actions.
  • Programs should be provided in a manner that is sensitive to the difficulties experienced by youth.
  • Success should be built upon and enhancing the young person’s relationships with their immediate families and support networks.
  • We encourage and support the young person to use community networks and institutions in an appropriate way.
  • We believe that education, health, social and other support services should be equally accessible to all youth regardless of their circumstances.
  • Services for youth should be collaboratively developed and delivered with the broader social services network within the Niagara Region; and coordinated to avoid unnecessary duplication of services to maximize economic value and viability of all available services.
  • We believe that all program and service efforts should lead to measurable change and outcomes that influence, guide and inform ongoing program enhancements and development.
